Mission Presidents Seminar

On February 18th and 19th we were blessed to be able to attend the Seminar in Santiago for the Mission Presidents serving in the South America South Area. All of the presidents from Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay were there. Elder Ballard, Elder Rasband and our Area Presidency (Elder Gonzalez, Elder Zeballos and Elder Viñas) were also there to instruct us. What a treat to learn at the feet of these great men. The 19th was my birthday and as a special treat all of the meetings were in English - or maybe it was due to the fact that Elder Ballard and Elder Rasband don't speak spanish. Either way - it was great! All of the members of our Area Presidency and their wives speak English. Elder Ballard mentioned the talk he gave at conference asking every member to invite one person to church before Christmas. He said his mistake was in not saying "and then after that invite someone by Easter, and then by Pioneer Day, etc"...  Our Area Presidency set a goal to have each member to invite someone every quarter! Elder H, one of our office Elders, made this little double sided business card with the goal on it. The missionaries are going to give them to all the members along with the challenge. We are really excited to see the fruits  of this inspired challenge.

Several years ago we spent 10 days visiting the temples in Mexico with Elder and Sister Rasband.
It was fun to be with them again.

While at the seminar we also had the opportunity to attend the temple! We didn't realize how much we had missed the temple. There is a feeling there that you just don't get anywhere else.
