SYRACUSE - On February 22, 2014 our dear mother left this life
to move onto the next part of her eternal progression.
Dorine was born May 7, 1925 in Logan, Utah to John Robert and
Rachael Kloepfer Gibbs. She was raised in Portage, Utah and graduated from Bear
River High School.
Dorine married Cammon Tuckfield Arrington in the Salt Lake
Temple on August 14, 1946. They were blessed with eight children.
She spent the rest of her life devoted to making a better life
for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all the grandchildren
yet to come. Her faith was the rock that laid the foundation for our
testimonies, and her influence will be felt for generations. Her Christlike
love was an example to all who knew her. She refused to speak ill of anyone and
always looked for the good in others.
Dorine served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints.
One of her favorite callings was serving as an ordinance worker
in the Ogden Temple for 16 years. This service brought her great joy. She said
that she never felt it was a sacrifice because it made her feel so good.
Dorine's patriarchal blessing promised her that when she passed to the other
side she would have great joy with all the people there for whom she had
completed ordinance work for.
Dorine was an active member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers,
Cricket Camp, Clinton City, Utah. She very much enjoyed her association and
friendship with the women there.
The family would like to thank our dear sister Janet for all the
sacrifices she made in serving and caring for our Mom. She is a true example of
the life Mom had lived.
Dorine is survived by five sons, Robert C. (Cheryl) Arrington,
Syracuse; Craig L. (Mary) Arrington, Syracuse; Scott W. (Judy) Arrington,
Layton; Mark G. (Donetta) Arrington, Heber City; Kent J. (Michele) Arrington,
Concepcion, Chile; three daughters, Diane (Loren) Walker, Willard; Janet
Arrington, Syracuse; Lisa Kay (Dan) Osmond, Farr West; 25 grandchildren; 64
great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two brothers, John R.
(Joan) Gibbs Jr., Syracuse; Calvin J. (Diane) Gibbs, Bountiful; and one sister,
Arlene Moss, Lehi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ruth
Gibbs Dixon and Karma Gibbs Taylor; and one brother, Grant Leroy Gibbs.

The funeral service was wonderful.....she was such a sweet lady. We are losing more and more of those we knew so well in the old 2nd ward. Cleone and Elwood are at the Legacy assisted living now. Steve says she probably won't be coming home. What a fun time to be able to be with all those mission presidents. miss you.
